This policy explains which personal data VolleyballTV.net processes when you use the site, why, and what your rights are. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

1Controller

VolleyballTV.net is responsible for your data. For any question or request: info@volleyballtv.net.

2What we process

  • Account data: if you sign up, your name, e-mail address and a one-way hash of your password.
  • Preferences: the teams and competitions you follow, your match reminders, language, theme and notification settings.
  • Newsletter: your e-mail address, if you subscribe.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device details, visit times, kept in server logs for security and to run the service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy; anything not strictly necessary only with your consent.

3Why we process it

  • To provide the service: your account, your list and your reminders (performance of a contract).
  • To keep you informed: alerts when a match starts or highlights are ready, the weekly newsletter (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • Security: preventing abuse and attacks (legitimate interest).
  • Legal obligations: records the law requires.

4Who we share it with

  • We do not sell your data. We share it only with the hosting, e-mail and measurement providers that run the service on our behalf, under contract and only as far as needed.
  • Official streams embedded on the site (such as YouTube) and broadcaster sites we send you to have their own privacy policies; embedded content loads only with your cookie consent.
  • Lawful requests from competent authorities are honoured.

5International transfers

Some providers may be outside your country. Transfers then rely on the safeguards the GDPR provides for (such as standard contractual clauses) and on Article 9 of the KVKK.

6How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account is open, your newsletter address for as long as you are subscribed. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security; statutory retention periods apply. Expired data is deleted or anonymised.

7Your rights

  • You may access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent (GDPR Art. 15–22, KVKK Art. 11).
  • Send requests to info@volleyballtv.net; we reply within 30 days. You can also download your data or delete your account in your account settings.
  • You may complain to the data protection authority of your country or to Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Board.

8Children

People under 16 may not open an account without a parent's or guardian's consent.

9Changes

We may update this policy and will announce significant changes on the site and by e-mail to members. The current version is always at this address.
